USD Debugging

If something isn't behaving as expected, there are a few ways for you to inspect the scene and diagnose the issue.

• The Attributes tab is already a great tool to inspect the scene, enabling you to go through each section of the Node Graph and identify changes. See Inspecting USD Properties Using the Attributes Tab.

• However, if further information is needed, digging into the resulting usda contents will provide all the information we'd need to pinpoint any mistakes. For this you may find the USD Text View tab and usdview useful. See USD Text View and Launching Usdview in Katana.

• Katana also has various error messages which will appear to prompt you as to what might be the issue. See USD Error Handling.
