Compare node

Access: Nodes > Misc > Compare

The compare node is a simple node that enables you to feed in two different visual streams, and compare them side by side using a wipe effect. There are three distinct wiping modes to choose from, so you have full control over the visual comparison.

Compare node inputs

• A — The first visual stream to compare.

• B — The second visual stream to compare.

Compare node properties

Wipe

slider Controls the position of the wipe boundary between inputs A and B. At -1 only A is visible; at 1 only B is visible.

Space

dropdown

Defines how the compare wiper will interact with your object:

• Screen space — keeps a fixed separation line across your viewport.

• Object space — ties the wipe directly to your 3D model’s local axis

• Object bound screen space — sweeps across the viewport axis, but scales perfectly to the specific dimensions of your object.
