Coordinate Transform node
Access: Nodes > Transformation > Coordinate Transform
This node drives any node with a Position input, by scaling, rotating and translating coordinates in one step. It allows external drivers to override internal controls for procedural, non-destructive coordinate manipulation. You can also connect other nodes to drive the transformations.
There are also 3 separate nodes to achieve the desired effect separately — see more at Translation Transform, Scale Transform and Rotate Transform.
Coordinate Transform node inputs
• Coordinates — The coordinates of the input node (scale, rotation, translation).
• Scale — The scale coordinates of the input node (used if you only want to input scale information).
• Rotation — The rotation coordinates of the input node (used if you only want to input rotation information).
• Translation — The translation coordinates of the input node (used if you only want to input translation information).
Coordinate Transform node outputs
• Output — Outputs the transformed Scale, Rotation and Translation coordinates.
• Scale — Outputs the transformed Scale coordinates.
• Rotation — Outputs the transformed Rotation coordinates.
• Translation — Outputs the transformed translation coordinates.
Coordinate Transform node properties
|
World Scale |
text field, slider | Scales the pattern evenly in every direction, on top of Scale X/Y/Z. Values outside the slider range can still be typed in directly. |
|
Scale X |
text field, slider |
How much to scale along each axis. 1.0 is no change. Works together with World Scale to give the overall size. Only used when nothing is connected to the Scale input. |
| Scale Y | text field, slider | How much to scale along each axis. 1.0 is no change. Works together with World Scale to give the overall size. Only used when nothing is connected to the Scale input. |
| Scale Z | text field, slider | How much to scale along each axis. 1.0 is no change. Works together with World Scale to give the overall size. Only used when nothing is connected to the Scale input. |
| Rotate X | text field, slider | How far to rotate around the X axis, in degrees. Only used when nothing is connected to the Rotation input. |
| Rotate Y | text field, slider |
How far to rotate around the Y axis, in degrees. Only used when nothing is connected to the Rotation input. |
| Rotate Z | text field, slider |
How far to rotate around the Z axis, in degrees. Only used when nothing is connected to the Rotation input. |
| Translate X | text field, slider |
How far to translate along the X axis. Combined with the Offset values to give the final position. Only used when nothing is connected to the Translation input.
|
| Translate Y | text field, slider |
How far to translate along the Y axis. Combined with the Offset values to give the final position. Only used when nothing is connected to the Translation input. |
| Translate Z | text field, slider |
How far to translate along the Z axis. Combined with the Offset values to give the final position. Only used when nothing is connected to the Translation input. |
| Offset X | text field, slider | A small, constant adjustment added on top of Translate X. Unlike Translate X, this stays active even when Translation is driven by a connected node, so it’s useful for a fixed nudge. Strengthened or weakened by the Offset Multiplier. |
| Offset Y | text field, slider | A small, constant adjustment added on top of Translate Y. Unlike Translate Y, this stays active even when Translation is driven by a connected node, so it’s useful for a fixed nudge. Strengthened or weakened by the Offset Multiplier. |
| Offset Z | text field, slider | A small, constant adjustment added on top of Translate Z. Unlike Translate Z, this stays active even when Translation is driven by a connected node, so it’s useful for a fixed nudge. Strengthened or weakened by the Offset Multiplier. |
| Offset Multiplier | text field, slider | Strengthens or weakens the offset Values. |
