Discrete AB Random node

Access: Nodes > Math > Discrete AB Random

Randomly selects ValueA or ValueB based on a deterministic hash of the Seed input.

Input (Seed, ValueA, ValueB) Output
Seed where hash evaluates to ≥ 0.5, ValueA = (1, 0, 0, 1), ValueB = (0, 1, 0, 1) Outputs ValueA entirely (1, 0, 0, 1)
Seed where hash evaluates to < 0.5, ValueA = (1, 0, 0, 1), ValueB = (0, 1, 0, 1) Outputs ValueB entirely (0, 1, 0, 1)
Default seed (0.5, 0.5, 0, 0) with standard input colors Evaluates Bernoulli coin-flip selector to output either ValueA or ValueB vector.

Discrete AB Random node inputs

ValueA

Primary vector option.

ValueB Secondary vector option.
Seed Seed coordinate vector.

Discrete AB Random node outputs

Output

A coin-flip node. Hashes the seed and, depending on whether the result falls above or below 0.5, passes through either ValueA or ValueB entirely. Wire a UV node to Seed to produce a random per-tile selection.
