Uninstalling Nuke Stage 1.0v3

Due to an issue with the launcher service in 1.0v3, it must be uninstalled before installing any following versions. The issue also means that uninstalling is less straightforward than usual. The issue has since been fixed so these steps won’t be needed in future versions. Please follow the relevant set of steps below for all machines that have Nuke Stage installed on it.

Uninstalling 1.0v3 From the Default Installation Location

If you have installed 1.0v3 in the default installation location (i.e. C:\Program Files\NukeStage-1.0v3):

1.   On your machine, open the Task Manager.
2.   Search for any running process called NukeStageLauncher.
3.   Right-click and then select End Task.
4.   Uninstall NukeStage 1.0v3 as normal through Windows Apps.

Uninstalling 1.0v3 From a Custom Location

If you have instead installed 1.0v3 in a custom location (i.e. anywhere other than C:\Program Files\NukeStage-1.0v3):

1.   On your machine, open the Task Manager.
2.   Search for any running process called NukeStageLauncher.
3.   Right-click and then select End Task.
4.   Make a copy of the installed NukeStage-1.0v3 folder and place it in C:\Program Files\NukeStage-1.0v3.
5.   Uninstall Nuke Stage 1.0v3 as normal through Windows Apps.
6.   Delete the copied version at C:\Program Files\NukeStage-1.0v3.

Once the relevant set of steps is run 1.0v3 should be uninstalled and a newer version can be installed. If there are any issues please reach out to the Nuke Stage team at Foundry for support.
