Configuring a custom mesh for Nuke Stage displays
When you're building the 3D mesh of your LED wall in your modeling software , it is important to note that these cannot be imported as a single custom mesh into Nuke Stage.
The stage’s mesh will need to be split into each output (per LED processor). Split up the mesh so that it aligns with the outputs in your physical setup.
Nuke Stage additionally requires splitting the mesh into adjoining rectangles that will correspond to the Nuke Stage Displays.
From here, you will then need to ensure that the UV mapping for each segment goes from 0-1 on both the x and y axis.
Once you have completed this UV mapping step, export the setup as a multi-part file (such as FBX) that contains the multiple meshes.
This can then be imported into Nuke Stage at Displays > Custom mesh > Path. Then specify the specific display mesh from the file in Mesh property.
You can then map each display in the Output mapping section. Read more at Creating Displays.
