What's New in Nuke Stage 1.2
Note: See the navigation bar on the left for links to specific release notes by version.
DMX support
The latest version of Nuke Stage introduces DMX lighting control for virtual production, so you can set up, control and animate physical lights directly from your project. Using the sACN network protocol, you can send lighting data to fixtures on set and configure them using GDTF files or manual settings.
You can adjust individual attributes like color and intensity, animate lighting changes over time with the Sequencer, and use the Pixel Map panel to map textures from your project onto grid-based fixtures. This helps match the physical lighting to the content in Nuke Stage, keeping everything in sync with your virtual production workflow.
Note: See more at Lighting your Stage.
Output mapping panel
The new Output Mapping panel in Nuke Stage makes it easier to set up your outputs and map content to your LED wall. You can create and arrange displays, adjust their resolution, and position them across your RenderNode outputs to control how your content appears on the wall, making it easier to set up your virtual production display setup.
Note: See more atHardware Setup.
LTC support
Nuke Stage now supports LTC (Linear Timecode) audio input, allowing you to synchronize playback with timecode from an external audio source rather than a video source. This makes it easier to connect Nuke Stage directly to your timecode source, simplifying synchronization with your virtual production setup.
Note: See more at Timecode Source.
Feed Mapping Improvements
Building on the introduction of the feed mapping panel in version 1.1v1, this release further enhances its functionality with improved tools for placing, moving and locking textures on displays, alongside additional options for display sizing and layout.
Note: See more at Feed Mapping.
Workflow Enhancements
This release focuses on streamlining workflows through a range of smaller but impactful improvements. Enhancements include lightcard creation, sync debugging, property editing, and clearer error notifications when timecode or tracking connections are lost, along with many other updates detailed in the Release notes.
Note: See more at Adding Lightcards and meshes, Synchronization, and Playback Controls.
2D Manipulators in the Image Viewer
The Image Viewer now features 2D manipulators that allow users to edit node properties directly. These include a rectangular manipulator for nodes such as Crop, Rectangle and Radial, as well as a transformation manipulator for the Transform node.
Note: See more atImage Viewer.
Improved Color Popup
The color popup for color parameters in Nuke Stage has been enhanced with a Nuke-style color wheel and support for working in RGB, HSL and TMI color spaces.
