GeoRenderSetting

The GeoRenderSetting node creates or edits a RenderSettings prim with schema attributes and relationships.

Learn how to use this node at Creating and Editing Render Settings.

Note:  In USD, UsdRenderSettings describes top-level settings required to invoke a renderer. It specifies one or more products, representing artifacts for the renderer to produce. Read more about this on OpenUSD's documentation: USD Render Schema.

The previous stage in the scene you want to affect.

Create

Select whether to Create or Edita prim.

Path (available in Create Mode)

prim_path

/Render/Settings

The root path for the prim(s) created (e.g. \"/Scene/ Objects/Table"). If empty, the node name is used with a leading \"/\".

Create Missing Parents

create_missing_parents

on

When turned on, this will create the missing ancestor prims which don’t already exist in the path. When off, missing ancestors will be pure overs (i.e. overrides), which will cause the prim to not appear in the scene graph or render unless the parent prim ‘overs’ are turned into ‘concrete’ prims.

Create Missing Parents (Type)

parent_prim_type

Xform

Sets the type of prim to create if there are missing ancestors in the path.

Auto-Populate Relationships auto_populate on Automatically populate relationship paths from connected nodes when the panel is shown or input changes.

Mask (available in Edit Mode)

mask_patterns

Default - Injected/ RenderSettings

Specifies the mask pattern to match the prims to affect.

You can use standard glob-style wildcards, such as '*', '?', to create masks or use individual prim names separated by spaces.

Default - Injected/RenderSettings - selects the default prim(s) for the node. The default will be the injected mask prim paths if there is an upstream node with this. Otherwise the default mask for this node type is evaluated.

Custom - sets a custom selection of prims that exist in your scene graph.

Inject Mask inject_mask off When enabled the mask in the current node is pushed to the geo nodes below it that have the default mask set.

camera camera N/A Specify path to a camera.
products products N/A Specify path to a render product.
aspectRatioConfirmPolicy aspectRatioConformPolicy expandAperture Indicates the policy to use to resolve an aspect ratio mismatch between the camera aperture and image aspect ratio (derived from the resolution and pixel AspectRatio).
dataWindowNDC dataWindowNDC 0, 0, 1, 1 Specifies the axis-aligned rectangular region in the adjusted aperture window within which the renderer should produce data. Specified as (xmin, ymin, xmax, ymax) in normalized device coordinates, where the range 0to1 corresponds to the aperture.
disableDepthOfField disableDepthOfField off Disable all depth of field by setting F-stop of the targeted camera to infinity.
disableMotionBlur disableMotionBlur off Disable all motion blur by setting the shutter interval of the render camera to [0,0] (take only one sample at the current time code).
includedPurposes includedPurposes default render Imageable purpose values (e.g. default, render, proxy, guide) that should be included in the render. Only imageable prims with purpose set to one of the includedPurposes values will be rendered.
instantaneousShutter instantaneousShutter off Deprecated, use disableMotionBlur instead.
materialBindingPurposes materialBindingPurposes full Ordered list of material binding purposes that will be used in the render.
pixelAspectRatio pixelAspectRatio 1 The aspect ratio (width/height) of the image pixels.
renderingColorSpace renderingColorSpace N/A The ‘rendering color space’ the renderer should use for internal color calculations. If this is not set, a renderer is expected to use its own default color space. Not to be confused with setting specific ‘source’ color spaces for scene assets.
resolution resolution 2048, 1080 The image pixel resolution, corresponding to the camera’s screen window.
