| 1. | How do you import an image into the image manager? |

• Drag and drop images from folder window into Mari viewer.
• Open the Image Manager palette, drag and drop images into there.
• From the Image Manager palette, right-click and select Open to choose images.
| 2. | How do you edit the imported image? |

From the Image Manager palette, double-click the image to be edited. From the main Mari menu, choose Filters and select the filter(s) to use on the image.
Exercise
| 1. | From the right side of the window menu, open the Image Manager. |
| 2. | Right-click in the Image Manager window, and select Open to select an image or images to be imported into the Image Manager. Select only one image to import at this time. |
| 3. | Open the folder on your desktop that contains the images. From the desktop folder, drag an image directly onto your model in the viewer. |
| 4. | Open the Image Manager to see that the image is available. Double-click an image in the Image Manager to edit the imported image. |
| 5. | From the top menu, select Filters and choose Gaussianfrom the Blur options. Change the Radius to 30. |
Note: If you do not see any change in your image preview, make sure the preview button is on, and that you are applying the filter to the selected image.
| 6. | Press apply if you want to apply your changes to the image. |
Practice
Open the Image Manager and use the different ways mentioned to load any image into the image manager. You can also drag and drop images directly from your operating systems file browser to the manager. After exploring the loading methods, use the filters to view their affects.
