LABS Nodes

LABS nodes are experimental and not intended for use in production but we feel there’s potential value in these tools so we’d like to make them available to you for testing. Based on feedback we can prioritise these for future releases of Nuke.

LABS nodes are indicated in Nuke with the tag:

 

FieldAttract

Creates a field which attracts towards a point.

FieldCellNoise

Creates a field containing cellular noise.

FieldCurves

Applies a curve to fields.

FieldDeform

Creates a simple deformation field.

FieldFractal

Applies fractals to fields.

FieldGrid

Samples the input field at points in a grid.

FieldLookAt

Creates a field where points look at another point.

FieldNoise

Generates a field containing Perlin noise.

FieldRadial

Generates a radial gradation map on a field.

FieldRender

Renders fields to 2D using raymarching.

FieldShapeToPosition

Converts a density field to a signed distance field.

FieldSurface

Produces various types of field from geometry.

FieldSwizzle

Rearranges the components of multiple input fields.

FieldTrilinearWarp

Warps fields by moving the corners of its bounding box.

FieldVolume

Loads in a volume file.

FieldVolumeWrite

Writes volume files.

FieldVortex

Creates a force field.

FieldVortexRing

Creates a field in the shape of a vortex ring.

FieldWarp

Warps a field according to a second, warp field.

ImageField

Creates a 2D image from a 3D field.

ParticleFieldForce

Applies various forces to particles.

GeoFieldMesh

Creates a mesh prim from a field.

GeoFieldWarp

Warps geometry according to a deformation field.

GeoPointInstancer

Instances prims, creating a single Scene Graph location.

GeoValueClip

Converts files and creates Value Clips.
