Sliders in Nuke work like in most other programs, but there is also a useful hotkey for resetting a slider to its default value.
Drag the knob to the desired value.
OR
Click the desired value on the graduated scale beneath the slider.
Ctrl+click (Mac users Cmd+click) on the slider.
