Flix Photoshop Extension Release Notes 1.3.0

New Features

Adobe Photoshop extensions package version 1.3.0 compatible with Flix 8.0 is now available.

Note:  Photoshop Extension 1.3.0 supports Adobe Photoshop 2025/ 2026. Other versions of Photoshop may work but have not been qualified.

Feature Enhancements

Bug Fixes

  • ID 438918 - Add Preferences for setting default Layer Comp options when Panels are opened in PS
  • ID 594300 - Photoshop: Closing a document tracking layer comps after saving will incorrectly continue tracking panels

  • ID 599144 - If a PSD has its background layer incorrectly marked Flix will fail to open in Layer comp

  • ID 605708 - When sending an image from PS, the new image goes before the selected panel

  • ID 608111 - With "Open as Separate PSD" enabled, selection of empty panels get opened as a single panel in Photoshop

  • ID 608142 - Sending layers from Photoshop via "Send Selected Layers" command sent wrong layers as panels object into Flix

  • ID 608878 - Photoshop application version supported range is wrong

System Requirements

Flix Server

Note:  Flix Server is built and tested exclusively on Intel processors. Running the Flix Server on AMD processors may lead to unexpected runtime errors.

Warning:  For security reasons, the date and time for the machine on which Flix Server is installed needs to be set correctly. This also applies to virtual machines. For more information, please refer to this Knowledge Base article.

Note:  The volume where the /tmp directory resides should have at least twice as much free space as the largest AAF imported into Flix. We recommend at least 16 GB, which is enough for most studios.
