In the Painting palette, Projection Settings panel, under the Projection tab, set the Bake Behavior to AutoBakeAndClear.

Make some paint strokes on the paint buffer and then rotate the model in the viewer to observe the bake behavior.

Change the Bake Behavior to ClearOnly. Make some paint strokes on the paint buffer and then rotate the model in the viewer to observe the bake behavior.

Press B to bake down your current strokes and then rotate your model again to see the paint applied to the model.

Finally, change the Bake Behavior to Manual. Make some paint strokes on the paint buffer and then rotate the model to observe the bake behavior. Press B to bake down your current strokes and then rotate your model to see the paint applied to the model.
