Build Shareable Material Networks With Macros
In this webinar, Creative Specialist Ruth Hutton takes a look at macros and shareable materials in Katana 5. Join Ruth as she shows us how macros can be used to create complex materials from scratch within Katana, and how they can then be shared across projects and assets and iterated upon with ease.
In Katana 5, we also made some updates to the NetworkMaterial nodes making them easier to use. Ruth takes a look at some of these changes and shows us how to build a custom user interface for materials that can be easily tweaked from outside the NetworkMaterial node and how collapsed node state and the new-and-improved dot node can be used to keep your shader networks clean and tidy.
Parts 1 and 2 of the virtual event are available here:
Connect Lighting and Compositing With Nuke Bridge
Multi-Shot Lighting and Rendering With Foresight+
