LiveGroups are a useful way of sharing work between multiple artists or departments. They allow the Node Graph to be divided into sections that can each be worked on by different artists in parallel. LiveGroups can also be referenced across multiple locations in multiple scripts so you don’t have to repeat the same task. In this series, you'll learn how you can integrate LiveGroups into your workflow to streamline your pipeline.

Throughout the course, you'll learn how you can divide your Node Graph into sections to be saved and versioned separately from the rest of the Katana project, as LiveGroups, before importing them into other Katana scenes. You will also find out how changes can be made to a LiveGroup, and then reloaded into all other instances of that LiveGroup, so an update only needs to be made once.

Finally, you will learn how to version your LiveGroups properly for use in production, and familiarize yourself with some of the most common ways to utilize LiveGroups in your workflow.

The workflows shown in this course can be applied to your own Katana project so you can follow along with your own assets.
