In this tutorial, Modo Hero Greg Leuenberger shows you how to create a jellyfish using only procedural mesh operations. Once modeled, he’ll guide you through creating a simple animation using Modo’s animation toolset.
You’ll learn to:
• Manipulate and edit organic models using mesh operations.
• Create fluid, lifelike animations using Modo’s fall-off system.
• Work with particles and curves to create the tentacles of the jellyfish.
• Use procedural noise to generate variation and realism within your model.
• Simulate "soft bodies" for the jellyfish bell, but this can be used for cloth and other "soft" models too.
